Fun and knowledgeable coach with experience ranging from teaching basic skills to analyzing and implementing game tactics. Ellis has coached a wide range of athletes from U12 to U19, NCAA DI, DII and DIII to senior level national team players.
He is passionate about the game and enjoys challenging the athletes he coaches to play
quality hockey and to work hard.
Stefania Swider – Staff
Stefania Swider is a 2017 Delaware Valley University graduate, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Marketing & Master’s degree in Marketing with a Minor in Pre-Professional Biology.
From 2013-2017 Stefania played 4 consecutive years for the Delaware Valley University Field Hockey Team. A transitional offensive & defensive player, Stefania was named team captain in 2016. Additionally, Stefania served as the elected president of student-athlete advisory committee where she served as a leadership advocate for DIII athletes during NCAA Conferences.
Stefania had the opportunity to become the Assistant Coach for the Delaware Valley Aggies while pursuing her master’s degree.
Starting in 2014, Stefania also coached at FSC Field Hockey Sports Club in Bucks County, PA. She served as a U16 and U19 trainer/coach as well as focused on developmental skill training. Stefania is also an active member of the Sport EuroTour / World Camp USA family where she serves as a Camp Counselor for US overnight camps.
Stefania played for Total Dutch Field Hockey on the U14, U16 and U19 Disney Showcase teams. Not only is Stefania a great player, through her educational experiences she has become a great teacher & coach.
Sami Strathern – Staff
Sami Strathern is a 2020/2021 Drew University graduate, where she earned a BS in Studio Art and Art History with a concentration in Education as well as her Master of Arts in Teaching Secondary Art Education.
From 2016-2019 Sami started and played in every game during her 4 seasons for the Drew University field hockey team. At the center midfield position she contributed to offensive and defensive plays and corners and served as a team captain during her 3rd and 4th seasons.
Outside of field hockey, Sami was the President of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee where she represented Drew University athletes during NCAA Conferences. She was also the President and founder of Connect with Kids, an organization committed to serving underprivileged youth as well as a member of the Art History club and Girls Who Code. Additionally, Sami worked as an Assistant Athletic Business Manager within the athletics department at Drew.
Sami continued assisting the Drew University field hockey team in 2021 as a graduate assistant while completing her master’s degree and was a volunteer assistant during the 2022 season.
Sami is a USA field hockey level 1 certified coach and is a selector and coach for Nexus by USA field hockey. She also coached for All-American field hockey camps in 2021 and 2022. She coached the U12 and U10 teams at Rapid Fire Elite from 2015-2020 focusing on foundational and developmental skills, bringing young players to tournaments such as Disney’s College Showcase and Shooting Stars.
Sami has been playing field hockey since she was 8 years old and her love for the game grows every day. She enjoys working with players of all ages and skill levels and continues to give back to the game.
Dayna DeVincentz – Staff
Dayna DeVincentz is a 2021 Rowan University graduate, where she earned a BS in Math & Education.
Dayna’s team has won an NJAC conference championship, as well as making it to the NCAA tournament with a final four appearance. Currently Dayna is getting her masters at Villanova in Applied Statistics and is at the Rowan Field Hockey coaching staff.
Dayna graduated from Hunterdon Central Regional High School in 2017 and was a player on the field hockey team for all four years. Prior to college, Dayna was a member of the Total Dutch Family for many years and participated in various College Showcase tournaments and Indoor teams.
Cayla Andrews – Staff
Cayla Andrews is a 2020 The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) graduate, where she earned a BS in Finance.
From 2016-2019 Cayla played 4 consecutive years for TCNJ Field Hockey as a center forward. She was honored as a 2019 First-Team All-American, two-time NFHCA First-team All-South Atlantic Region selection and two-time First-team All-NJAC performer. During her time, Cayla’s team won three NJAC conference titles, as well as four NCAA Tournament appearances – including a 2017 Final Four appearance. In her senior season, Cayla led all of NCAA Division III in goals, goals-per-game, and points-per-game, earning her 2019 NJAC Offensive Player of the Year. She finished her career with 76 goals and 171 points, ranking fourth and third in program history, respectively.
Cayla is currently an Assistant Field Hockey Coach at Fairleigh Dickinson University while pursuing her Master’s Degree in Sports Administration. She previously served as the Assistant Field Hockey Coach at Arcadia University from January 2021- May 2022. Cayla has experience recruiting and retaining student-athletes as she focuses on developing skills and tactics for an overall better understanding of the game.
Cayla graduated from Hackettstown High School in 2016 and is a Total Dutch Field Hockey Alumni, participating in U19 College Showcase tournaments and Indoor teams. Cayla is a versatile player and coach, playing both defensive and offensive positions throughout her career.
