Determining Your Age Group
U12 player must be 11 years (or younger) as of 1/1/2012
U14 player must be 13 years (or younger) as of 1/1/2012
U16 player must be 15 years (or younger) as of 1/1/2012
U19 player must be 18 years (or younger) as of 1/1/2012

 

2012 Spring Academy:

Only the best and most motivated players keep playing field hockey in the “off season”.

Total Dutch Field Hockey would like to invite you to Try-out for our travel team to further improve your skills and get the last chance to play field hockey before the Middle- and High school season starts again.

Total Dutch Select travels with its U12/U14/U16 and U19 teams to top tournaments in the Tri-State Area to compete with other top clubs in one- or two day tournaments.

Our Mission:
This program is for the players who would like to improve their skills in a “team” setting. The sessions will include skill training as well as team tactics. The learning process will be the development of a better vision of the game. That will be accomplished with instructional scrimmages and skill drills in a high speed/ competitive and FUN environment

Spring Tournaments:

There are a number of tournaments held in the metro area that we would like to apply for and attend. These tournaments will be run by local Colleges and clubs. Each player can participate in as many tournaments as she would like to attend (you pay for each tournament you want to attend, tournament fee will be divided by the participants)

Practice will be held in the months of March/ April/May and June
-          Sunday Morning (8 am – noon): 3/18, 3/25, 4/1, 4/8, 4/15, 4/22, 4/29, 5/6, 5/13, 5/20, 5/27, 6/3, 6/10, 6/17
-          Tuesday evening (7-9 pm): 3/20, 3/27, 4/3, 4/10, 4/17, 4/24, 5/1, 5/8, 5/15, 5/22, 5/29, 6/5, 6/12
-          Friday evening (5-9 pm): 3/23, 3/30, 4/6 4/13, 4/20, 4/27, 5/4, 5/11, 5/18, 5/25, 6/1, 6/8, 6/15

Not sure yet which team has practice on what day, this depends on the amount of teams we have.

Requirements for players who make the team:
- Player need to have a valid US Field Hockey membership #
- Player needs to play all tournaments in a TD uniform (reversible pinny, orange socks, light blue socks and light blue short)
